Craig McCormick received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Ball State University in 1993.  In 1998 he completed graduated studies and received his Master of Architecture degree from Rice University.

McCormick worked as an Intern Architect for Ratio Architects (Indianapolis, 1994-1996), Jackson & Ryan Architects (Houston, 1997-1999) and Axis Architecture + Interiors (Indianapolis, 1996, 1999-2001).  At Axis, Craig was responsible for the design of the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana, and the Marion County Public Library East 38th Street Branch in Indianapolis.  Craig also contributed to the design of the White River State Park Visitor’s Center and the Axis Design Studio.  After leaving Axis, Craig became Senior Designer at Architects Forum (Indianapolis, 2001-2009) where he was responsible for the design of the Galyans World Headquarters in Plainfield, Indiana, INTECH Three, North Meridian Medical Pavilion and the Certa-Pro Design Center in Indianapolis.  To date, Craig’s design work has received two Monumental Affair Awards and five local AIA Awards.

In addition to architecture and design, Craig is a nationally exhibited fine art photographer whose work has been published and exhibited at FotoFest Houston, Harvard University, and Rice University, and resides in collections throughout the United States.  Craig has served as Board Vice President and President for the Harrison Center for the Arts and is currently on the Board of Directors of Big Car Artist Collective. He is a co-organizer of Pecha Kucha Indy and has been a visiting architecture critic at Ball State University and at Pratt Institute in New York City.
